The Robber and the Spam

Yesterday Mrs. Sound’s cousin arrived from Guam for her wedding this month. She decided that she would spend the night over Mrs. Sound’s house. With out further ado Mrs. Sound accommodated her cousin with a nice dinner and cool drinks. While her cousin was busy watching some photo albums, she was up fixing the room for her cousin.

Mrs. Sound and her cousin went to sleep early because of a busy day. So off they go to their respective rooms. While they were sleeping soundly, there was something that was busy. Busy of what you may ask. Busy tampering the door locks and sawing the grills of one of the window.

Yes I’m talking of a thief. Last night Mrs. Sound’s house was robbed. And guess what the robber robbed. A DVD player, a wallet full of money and a can of SPAM! WTF! A can of spam you’ll get after successfully entering the house with nobody there but the two of them at that night. Why not get the 28 inch TV or the painting on the walls which he could sell. A can of spam? Whoa! I’m not saying that when you broke unto someone’s house is good. But my point is, why steal that can of spam when it can give you extra luggage in escaping? I pity the robber.

Morning came and Mrs. Sound and her cousin was surprised of what they saw and called me (well I’m away ). So I told her to call the police and file. And so she did. Well it’s good that my girl Mrs. Sound is safe. That’s all I asked and thanked for. But she’s still shaky of what had happened. So I’m the one who’s writing.

Tribute To You Granny

Everybody has accepted the fact that not all of us will die together. Right?

Well as for me I lost someone so dear to me. It’s my grandmother; she passed away at the age of 87 years old just hours ago. And she died of stroke. It was her first stroke actually.

There is fathers-girl, papas-boy etc. Well for me I’m a Lola’s-boy. I grew up with her. I just got separate from her when I was about going 4 years old. So I can say the attachment is genuine.

And every summertime or a long break from class. She would fetch me at our house and bring me back to her on another city. When I’m at her care there are rules to be followed; like we all know as a child we love to go out and play with other kids. But for her I can’t go out if I don’t sleep. She’s very strict I tell you that. But later on in life I recall due to that being strict I got to be more disciplined and focus on the goals I’m aiming. That’s one thing I thank my “Neneng”.

I couldn’t forget all the character and attitudes that she has showed me. It was all goodness and out of love.

Now that she had passed away. I’ll be certain I would carry all the traits and teachings that she had taught me. I know it would be for a more better me later on.

And the thing that I would not certainly forget is that to be a God fearing person. As her favorite saying goes “ I PRAY THE LORD, TO GUIDE MY WAYS”

And my message to her would be, “Where you are now Neneng. I would like to say to you again thanks and we love you very much. I’ll certainly miss you. But I’m sure you’ll be happy at the kingdom of GOD, in heaven”.

We're Back

Yes! The examinations is finished. And we're back.

After two long days of working our brains out answering the examination, now it is finished. We do hope that we will pass it. (which we will) We would like to thank those pips who had prayed and hope also for us to pass. But specially to our Creator Lord God. In which HE had not forsaken us and abandon us on our needs. HE gave us strength and wisdom to focus on the lectures and questions and absorbed them.


And to all those who had been visiting our site thanks a lot. Watch out for more articles to come.

We would like to thank all of you who have been here and soon will be here to see and enjoy our blogspot. But for now we would like to say our goodbyes for a while. Due to the fact that December is fast approaching. And we'll gonna take our Nursing Licensure Examination on the month of December. So I hope you all will pray for us for this professional step in our lives that we may pass this.

Vein Strain

Crossing your legs may be the most popular way of developing varicose veins (those purplish knotted veins found at the skin’s surface, usually behind your calves). Veins become varicose when their valves (Tiny flaps which help bring the blood up to the heart) malfunction. When this happens, gravity takes its course and the blood fails to get pushed up. “Your blood is somewhat trapped and remains stagnant, thus distending the veins,” says Dr. Valerie F. Gosiengfiao-de Vera (chief resident of dermatology, University of the Philippines-Philippine General Hospital). Here are ways to improve your blood circulation:

1. WORK OUT. Physical activity helps the blood in your legs to flow, so get a move on.
2. CHOOSE YOUR SHOES. Avoid high heels when you can. Low-heeled shoes don’t strain your calf muscles as much, which is better for your veins.
3. TAKE A BREAK. Be mindful. If you’ve been standing too long, sit down. Or vice versa.
4. LOSE WEIGHT. Being overweight puts pressure on your legs, causing a strain on circulation.
5. UNCROSS YOUR LEGS to avoid distended veins. This relieves pressure in your legs.
