A New Year
A years end is about to come. Are you prepared for the new years challenges await you?
There are many preparations for the New Year.
For the Chinese it’s the year of the Earth Rat. On the ads now a days are lucky charms. There are many kinds that must be placed in a specific place in the house. This is to attract good luck.
Are you in to this also? That’s our question to all of you. Isn’t it in that it’s really our action dictates what would be the result be. Right? And another thing our prayer and faith to our Lord God is what would really matter.
So mixing prayer and action would result to a good outcome later on. Prayers would help us strengthen ourselves because God would be with us, at the same time it’s our food for our soul for us to be motivated and healed, added to this are our own actions. Because how would our wants be in our hands if we won’t do something about it.
So this is what we the Sound would suggest to all of you. Pray right with Faith and do your part also. Get some action, move that muscle.
Good Luck on the Upcoming Year!

Emotional Side of Cancer Patients
Cancer and its treatment pose physical and psychological problems for patients. Depression and anxiety are often under-diagnosed and under-treated. Emotional and adjustment problems could impair patients’ ability to cope with their treatment. The stress of coping with a cancer diagnosis ranges from mild to severe, often depending on the severity of the diagnosis and treatment and the prior mood of the survivor. A third or more of patients report emotional distress (mostly depression and anxiety) during the early months of treatment, and there may be similar levels of distress ongoing into survivorship.
Counseling, group therapy, and good supportive care can help patients and survivors effectively deal with these challenges. In addition, effective medications for depression and anxiety can help reduce distress. In particular, antidepressants can improve energy and mood, breaking the cycle of despair and poor self-esteem that can spiral into a worsening depression. It is important to treat depression vigorously with appropriate psychotherapy and medication, since depression is an independent risk factor for shorter survival time with cancer.

Tribute To You Granny
Everybody has accepted the fact that not all of us will die together. Right?
Well as for me I lost someone so dear to me. It’s my grandmother; she passed away at the age of 87 years old just hours ago. And she died of stroke. It was her first stroke actually.
There is fathers-girl, papas-boy etc. Well for me I’m a Lola’s-boy. I grew up with her. I just got separate from her when I was about going 4 years old. So I can say the attachment is genuine.
And every summertime or a long break from class. She would fetch me at our house and bring me back to her on another city. When I’m at her care there are rules to be followed; like we all know as a child we love to go out and play with other kids. But for her I can’t go out if I don’t sleep. She’s very strict I tell you that. But later on in life I recall due to that being strict I got to be more disciplined and focus on the goals I’m aiming. That’s one thing I thank my “Neneng”.
I couldn’t forget all the character and attitudes that she has showed me. It was all goodness and out of love.
Now that she had passed away. I’ll be certain I would carry all the traits and teachings that she had taught me. I know it would be for a more better me later on.
And the thing that I would not certainly forget is that to be a God fearing person. As her favorite saying goes “ I PRAY THE LORD, TO GUIDE MY WAYS”
And my message to her would be, “Where you are now Neneng. I would like to say to you again thanks and we love you very much. I’ll certainly miss you. But I’m sure you’ll be happy at the kingdom of GOD, in heaven”.
"My prayers are with you."

My Penis Won't Stand
Erection problems usually produce a significant psychological and emotional reaction in most men. This is often described as a pattern of anxiety and stress that can further interfere with normal sexual function. This "performance anxiety" needs to be recognized and addressed by your doctor.
For some men, erectile dysfunction develops with age or may be related to depression or another psychological cause, such as widower syndrome.
Certain feelings can interfere with normal sexual function, including feeling nervous about or self-conscious about sex; feeling stressed either at home or at work; or feeling troubled in your current relationship. In these cases, psychological counseling with you and your sexual partner may be successful. One episode of failure, regardless of cause, may propagate further psychological distress leading to further erectile failure.

Christmas Symbols
MISTLETOE is an evergreen plant that is parasitic upon other trees and used to decorate homes. It is believed the plant had special healing powers for everything from female infertility to poison ingestion. Scandinavians also thought of mistletoe as a plant of peace and harmony. They associated mistletoe with their goddess of love, Frigga. The custom of kissing under the mistletoe probably derived from this belief.
POINSETTIAS, a flower was brought to the U.S. by Dr, J.R. Poinsett in 1825. He was the first first United States ambassador to Mexico. Because of its flame leaf, the poinsettia is sometimes called the Christmas Star. A Mexican legend explains how this flower got associated with Christmas.
CHRISTMAS TREE originated in Germany in the 16th century. It was common for the Germanic people to decorate fir trees, both inside and out, with roses, apples, and colored paper. It is believed that Martin Luther, the Protestant reformer, was the first to light a Christmas tree with candles.
CANDY CANE, used during the holidays, stands as an important Christmas symbol. The color white symbolizes the purity and sinless nature of Jesus. Next, three small stripes to symbolize pain inflicted upon Jesus before his death on the cross and a bold stripe to represent the blood he shed for mankind. Two other symbols are distinctive on the Candy Cane. When looked at, it looks like a Shepard's staff because Jesus is the Shepard of man. Then if we turn it upside down, we will notice the shape of the letter J symbolizing the first letter in Jesus' name. These five symbols were incorporated into this piece of peppermint stick so that we would remember what we really celebrate the Christmas season.
CHURCH BELLS rang to announce the birth of Jesus.
CHRISTMAS STAR has traditionally been associated with the spirit of the celebration and the significance of the star can be found in the story related to the birth of Jesus Christ. The Christmas star symbolizes high hopes and high ideals.
CHRISTMAS STOCKING, children all over the world continues the tradition of hanging Christmas stockings. Originally, children simply used one of their everyday socks, but eventually special Christmas stockings were created for this purpose.
CANDLES represent the light that Jesus brought to earth. Pagans who converted to Christianity used candles on the sacred evergreen tree.
CHRISTMAS CARDS, for many years, private notes of good tidings were sent at Christmas time. In 1843, Sir Henry Cole had 1000 special designed cards printed. The custom of sending Christmas cards began.
CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTS, The lights represent Christ as being the "Light of the World." Lights also represent stars. Candles were first used as lights on the Christmas tree.

Quotable Quote for the Week 2 of December 07
At the end of the day, what makes a man ask for your number or want to ask you out, is not because you look like America's Next Top Model, but because you are a thinking woman with opinion...
fashion sense helps, but brains will always be more deadly than a pair of stilettos...

We're Back
After two long days of working our brains out answering the examination, now it is finished. We do hope that we will pass it. (which we will) We would like to thank those pips who had prayed and hope also for us to pass. But specially to our Creator Lord God. In which HE had not forsaken us and abandon us on our needs. HE gave us strength and wisdom to focus on the lectures and questions and absorbed them.
And to all those who had been visiting our site thanks a lot. Watch out for more articles to come.
